Welcome to Alternative Provision - Intervention with Impact; therapeutic flexi school programmes for children of all ages

We offer Alternative Provision with a difference!  We actively support children to focus on their brain for behaviour change, using cognitive behaviour and dialectical behaviour techniques, therapeutic art, life coaching, mastery focus and breakthrough coaching, mindfulness and self-healing methods. these programmes also support children who have high anxiety and are not engaging in education.

Classes are no larger than 4.

We offer 4 CREATE Change Programmes:

1. Therapeutic Art and Behaviour Change Coaching Programme

2. Suspension/Exclusion Prevention and Behaviour Change Coaching Programme

3. Engagement, Mastery Focus and Breakthrough Coaching Programme

4. Therapeutic Art, Self-Healing and Mindfulness Coaching Programme

 

1. Therapeutic Art and Behaviour Change Coaching Programme

Who: This powerful programme is designed for children who are struggling in school and need that Alternative Provision.

What: This programme will offer support based on the core principals of cognitive behaviour and dialectical behaviour techniques, therapeutic art and life coaching to support children to understand and change their negative behaviour pattens. 

When: This programme is available for as many sessions as the child needs, it can be daily or weekly 9.30-12 or 1-3.30 and for the greatest impact, the child would need to engage with this programme for at least 30 sessions but we can be flexible to support school budgets.

2. Suspension/Exclusion Prevention and Behaviour Change Coaching Programme

Who: This intensive programme is designed for children who have been suspended, an alternative to suspension or for the first 5 days of an exclusion and need Alternative Provision instead of being at home.

What: This programme will unpick the negative patterns of behaviour that are resulting in regular suspension or a possible exclusion and will result in a detailed presentation that will need to be delivered by the child to a key worker before returning to school.

When: This programme is available daily or weekly 9.30-12 or 1-3.30 and for the greatest impact the child would need to engage with this programme consecutively for 5 days but no more than 10 days but we can be flexible to support school budgets.

3. Engagement, Mastery Focus and Breakthrough Coaching Programme

Who: This programme is designed for children who are school refusers, have low attendance, feel stuck with negative patterns, people and circumstances or have anxiety or fear in attending school. 

What: This programme will offer a stepping stone to rebuild build relationships and re-engagement in school and motivation for learning and uses engagement, mastery focus and breakthrough coaching tools and close communication with home and school to break this cycle and re-engage. 

When: This programme is available daily or weekly 9.30-12 or 1-3.30 and for the greatest impact the child would need to engage in the programme with at least one session each week for 12 weeks but we can be flexible to support school budgets.

4. Therapeutic Art, Self-Healing and Mindfulness Coaching Programme

Who: This deeply therapeutic programme is designed for children have suffered a trauma, bereavement or who need emotional support.

What: This programme will offer a deeply therapeutic experience rooted in therapeutic art and self-healing and mindfulness coaching.

When: This programme is available daily or weekly 9.30-12 or 1-3.30 and is offered for as short or as long as necessary.

The CREATE Change Programmes are led by experienced and specialist staff and there are a maximum of 4 children in each session.

Each day combines an immersive creative workshop, behaviour change coaching,  behaviour change work for a portfolio, 1:1 mentoring, family engagement, school feedback. The programmes are designed to be flexible to meet the needs of each child, their style of learning and interests.

Daily progress and targets outcome emails are sent to the child's key worker in school and a daily positive message to parents/carers

Date/Time: Daily 9.30-12 or 1-3.30

Cost: £65 a session

Transport is arranged by school

BETTER Behaviour Training

Welcome to BETTER Behaviour Training; transforming challenging behaviour in schools

COMING SOON - Online BETTER Behaviour BRONZE Training via Udemy.

A needs-led approach to understanding and developing strategies for challenging SEMH behaviour, this training is interactive which is proven to have greater impact and the tailored sessions and practice/reflection activities ensure that strategies stick! 

Understanding Behaviour - learn about how the brain works, how behaviour is all about communication and how to identify the triggers.

Identifying Vulnerable Children & Unmet Needs -  - learn how to conduct vulnerability scoring to identify your most vulnerable children,  how to identify the unmet needs  and  develop strategies that can support behaviour change.

Trauma Informed Practice & Emotion Coaching -  – learn the key principles of a trauma informed approach and emotion coaching techniques and how this can support children in times of anger and frustration.

Repair & Restorative Practice  – learn the restorative approaches to help build and maintain positive and healthy relationships, resolve difficulties and repair conflict.

The training also includes access to the ‘BETTER Behaviour Network’ WhatsApp Group  - Information, Advice & Guidance 24/7 and the ‘BETTER Behaviour TEAMS’ - Q&A Support Sessions on Wednesdays 7-8pm (term time)

BETTER Behaviour SILVER and BETTER Behaviour GOLD programmes are currently being developed and will be available from May 2024. 

'Cultural Craft'
Training for Primary and Secondary School Staff and Trainee Teachers

Welcome to Cultural Craft Training; culture and creativity are a fundamental part of education, it can enhance aspiration and ambition, develop communication and team working skills, strengthen creative and critical thinking and build discipline and confidence.

Staff will learn the background to the cultural craft, be taught the steps to make the cultural craft and create a high quality cultural craft as an example to teach the children back at school.

'Creativity and Culture' Workshops for Primary and Secondary Children

Welcome to Creativity and Culture; bespoke art and craft workshops specifically designed and tailored for schools and delivered in schools.

Children will be immersed in the sounds and images from the culture, learn about the history of the cultural craft and create a high quality traditional craft using mixed media.

Cost: £50 per hr tuition and £5-£10 per child (depending on the activity)
